Eagles Wings Quilting opened its doors on January 14th, 2010 with one longarm quilting machine. We expanded in October 2010 with a full array of fabrics, notions and sewing machines. In the fall of 2011 we purchased AZ Vac & Sew Center in Tucson from Ron Sanchez. Ron continues to work as a part-time employee repairing sewing machines and as a sales associate. He has over 30 years of repair experience. In September of 2012, we moved to a 5,000sq ft location in order to provide quality quilting fabric, notions, longarm quilting & repairs to both vacuums and sewing machines.

Tim and Dena Dority are the owners of AZ Vac & Sew and Eagles Wings Quilting. They relocated to Casa Grande, Arizona from Colorado in the fall of 2000 after Tim retired as a State Farm Insurance agent. Tim’s quilting began when they acquired Ree, the longarm quilting machine. Dena’s mother “Ree, nickname for Marie” taught Dena to sew when she was 10 years old. For many years she made clothing for herself and her daughter. Along the way, she has made down jackets, tents, sleeping bags & curtains. Her love of quilting began about 10 years ago when her daughter-in-law, Brandy introduced her to quilting. Dena worked at Casa Grande Regional Medical Center until October 2009. Tim and Dena opened Eagles Wings Quilting in January 2010 in a small store front in downtown Casa Grande with “Ree,” her Gammill longarm quilting machine. It did not take long for them to realize that they should also have a full-fledged quilt shop along with the quilting machine. In October, 2010 after Tim had done a major remodel of a second location in Casa Grande, they opened Eagles Wings Quilting offering quilting fabric, notions & classes in addition to the longarm quilting. In January 2012, they purchased AZ Vac & Sew in Tucson from Ron Sanchez. After several months of Tim’s commuting from Casa Grande to Tucson, the decision was made to close the Casa Grande store and merge Eagles Wings Quilting and AZ Vac & Sew in Tucson. The two stores have been merged in a 5,000 sq. foot location around the corner from AZ Vac & Sew’s previous location. The store is bright and cheerful with a showroom, classroom, longarm and service area.
